Aesthetic of a Jewel
The first Radius pens of the 1930s followed the typical technical styles of the time, adopting the classic filling systems mechanisms of that time, bottom filler and lever filler.
One of the most important features of the Radius pens was certainly the careful selection of materials and the search for original and always extremely elegant color combinations, according to the style and the tradition of S.A.F.I.S.
At the end of ‘30s, in the wake of the new trend of transparent ink reservoir, Radius developed its own Transparent model.
The Transparent Radius had a traditional filling system mechanism that thanks to a special technical solution offered complete visibility of the ink contained in the reservoir.
For this model were used excellent quality celluloids with a geometric design, in perfect harmony with the modernist style of the time.
In the late 1940s and early 1950s also Radius started to use the piston filler for their models, revising the design of the pens to stay in line with the modernist style of the time.
Over the decades Radius pens have never failed to maintain their technical and stylistic tradition of elegance and quality, with a choice of refined and original materials and the use of top-level nibs.
Endless pens
The fountain pen is the instrument that gave us the the magic of endless writing. Through it we had the freedom from the slavery of the ink bottle and the chance to write uninterrupted at the same speed of thought.
Radius represents for us the uninterrupted line joining past and present; from the first decades of the century it reaches the present days to revive the charm and beauty of an ancient instrument which today is enriched and perfected by the contribution of modern technology.
Radius is a tribute to tradition, to the recovery of our time to dedicate to the pleasure writing without hurry, to ancient rhythms made of small gestures, care, attention to detail.
Radius is an emotion that leaves a mark on paper, which speaks to the heart and memory.
Radius means "Ray" and like a ray of light it draws words on paper at the tip of a beautiful nib that unites past and present, moving towards the future.
