In December 2017, Uri Løvevild Golman came within inches of his life when he and his wife Helle were savagely attacked in a marketplace in Libreville, Gabon. Their expedition was meant to mark the end of a 5-year project, but it became the toughest journey of them all.
It was love that led Project WILD’s founders to Africa, and love that saved Uri’s life. As his rehabilitation continues, a special, Solidarity Edition celebrates both, while supporting their goals. Its exotic tones evoke the intoxicating ambience of a moment photographers call ‘the golden hour’.
National Geographic explorers and photographers, Helle and Uri Løvevild Golman, have reunited with Montegrappa for the sequel edition to the spectacular WILD: Baobab. Made in fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint editions, each is limited to 999 pieces.
An exclusive blend of Montegrappite artisanal resin evokes Africa’s electrifying evening mood, when predators are on the prowl. The handmade process behind Montegrappite ensures unrivalled handle and complexity, while saving on the environmental cost of industrial alternatives.
Considered materials are complemented by metal hardware detailing that elaborates the couple’s story and their mission to re- wild the world. A companion set of deluxe postcards showcases a selection of the couple’s finest twilight images, bringing the location vividly to life.
