Our story begins in a simple workshop where time seemed to have stopped. A place where art and mechanics came together harmoniously, creating writing instruments that told stories of passion and craftsmanship.
The “Cinquantesimo” collection celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Matrone family's business and creativity in the writing instruments industry. In 1974 a young Ciro Matrone, then in his early twenties, began to take his first steps in the world of fountain pens, first as a specialized turner and then as production manager, immediately showing interest in the advanced mechanical systems connected to craftsmanship.
Over the years the workshop became a beacon for collectors and lovers of handcrafted fountain pens. Each pen represents a journey through time, a meeting between past and present. The history of Leonardo Officina Italiana is written with ink and passion, a testimony of dedication and love for the art of writing.
Each creation is a tribute to precision mechanics, where every component and finish is the result of meticulous and passionate work. Mechanics becomes art in the hands of artisans, transforming each pen into a unique and unrepeatable object.
