Platinum Century #3776 Lavande Fountain Pen
Platinum #3776 Century Nice Lavande fountain pen with translucent pale lavender AS resin barrel, featuring inset striations which add an extra layer of interest to the design.
As its name implies, the Lavande - the French word for lavender - is a beautiful shade of pale purple, reminiscent of the extensive fields of the 'queen of herbs' so familiar to anyone roaming through rural France. As Platinum put it, the 'Lavande fountain pen creates a sense of calm, inviting one to breathe deeply into writing, making it unique among other Nice models.' The barrel is nicely complemented by exquisite rose gold plated accents. On the transparent resin body, Platinum have applied a sandblasted finish with grooves cut at precise angles.
The Platinum #3776 Century range features the 'Slip and Seal' airtight screw-on cap, an innovative system which uses an inner plastic seal with a strong spring. The primary benefit of this system is improved storage ability - the ink will not dry out even if left for over a year. It also allows use of Platinum Carbon and Pigment inks. An added benefit is improved resistance to leaks due to pressure changes.
The nib of the #3776 is a beautiful piece of work, made in-house at Platinum, and hand-tested at the factory. 14kt gold, plated with rose gold.
Uses Platinum ink cartridges. Supplied with a converter for use with bottled ink. Platinum recommends Platinum Fountain Pen Ink, though of course any quality bottled ink can be used.
